Program Overview
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured, time-limited behavioral health treatment for individuals who require more support than traditional outpatient therapy but do not need inpatient or residential care. Services are delivered in accordance with Maryland Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) standards and COMAR regulations.
The IOP is designed to promote stabilization, symptom reduction, and improved functioning while allowing participants to remain engaged in their home, school, or work environments.
Eligibility
Individuals may be eligible for IOP services if they:
- Have a diagnosed mental health and/or co-occurring disorder
- Require intensive therapeutic support
- Are able to participate safely in a structured outpatient setting
- Are referred by a licensed healthcare or behavioral health provider
- Meet Maryland BHA medical necessity criteria
- For minors: have parent or legal guardian consent
